Panel Discussion #1
Navigating Challenges and Opportunities of Partnering with Institutions of Higher Education
Institutions of higher education are like mini-cities, with operations that house and feed thousands of students, buildings that are built and managed, labs and classrooms that need supplies, and staff who arrange catering for events ranging from small get-togethers to an influx of visitors for alumni weekend. Higher Ed also has unique cultural aspects which include a collaborative decision-making process, missions that emphasize teaching, research, and service (not the bottom line), and language that can create a minefield of misinterpretations and confusion. Learn how you can be successful when partnering with a college or university.
